Three sites that really help with typography

If you’re like me you can probably really procrastinate over typography choices. Here’s a sequence of steps that may be able to help by speeding up the whole process.

Start with the uifont.in site. it’s a collection of type combinations. That’s usually where I get hung up and delayed. I may quickly settle on one font I love for a project, but which to combine it with. This site does the job for you and has lots of fonts already combined together in pleasing combinations.

Next, take a look at fontsquirrel.com. It’s a fantastic curated collection of free fonts, so you can check out font that are close to combinations you like and that won’t cost you anything.

f you want to speed that process up. Head over to whatthefont.com. There you can upload type samples and get a long list of all the fonts that are similar. Use that to work with fontsquirrel again to dig up fonts you can use.
